As a response to using online mapping systems on my phone and laptop to explore the area in advance of doing so on foot, it considers how visual layering, including the patching of photogrammetry stitching techniques, of a new visual grid onto the land, which is already socially and geographically partitioned into variously designed grids, causes yet another understanding of the ground which is frequently at odds with reality, anachronistic, misleading in terms of access to land and often disorienting.
